If you have a job that will span multiple days, whether this a larger job or due to unexpected delays and complications, you can make use of the Scheduler to manage multi day jobs and accurately record the hours allocated to specific technicians on specific days to keep your calendar and capacity accurate.
Opening the Scheduler
There are two ways to access the Scheduler, either from the Diary (Weekly View), or from inside the job. Lets cover both scenarios:
Opening the Scheduler from the Diary (Weekly View)
In the Diary (Weekly View) you can easily use the Scheduler to turn a job into a multi day job when the status of the job is "In Progress":
Click and drag an "In Progress" booking to another day
The Scheduler will immediately pop up as shown below:
Opening the Scheduler from Within a Job
Open the job you need to manage over multiple days
In the top section of the job you may need to click the View More dropdown to expand the full top section:
Click the Scheduler button on the Schedule Booking tile:
Using the Scheduler
On the Scheduler you can:
Click the Calendar icon to adjust the date range the job will span
Change the Technician assigned to the job or individual service templates on the job
Enter the allocated time for each day within the date range for the job
Use the tickbox provided to update the Pick Up Date based on the new date range
Click Cancel to abort your changes or Save to save changes
Additional Notes on Multi-Day Jobs
Display of Multi Day Jobs in the Diary (Weekly View)
You can easily identify jobs that have been split over multiple days in the diary as a Multi-Day Job icon will be shown, as highlighted in the screenshot below:
Each day that you allocate time for a Multi-Day Job, an individual tile will appear in the Weekly Diary.
For Example: If a Multi-Day Job spans from Monday to Wednesday, and you allocate time on Monday and Wednesday (but not on Tuesday), the Weekly Diary will show tiles for this job only on Monday and Wednesday. This ensures the diary accurately reflects the work scheduled for each day.
