🧩 Setup - Parts Categories

Manage and customise your parts categories in Auxo Workshop

Updated this week

Auxo Workshop includes a set of default parts categories to help you get started. If you've migrated from another system, any parts categories linked to your imported parts will also be brought across automatically.

You can easily add, edit, or delete your own parts categories to suit your requirements.

🔧 Accessing Parts Categories

To view or manage your parts categories:

  • Click Settings in the left-hand menu.

  • Select System Configuration.

  • At the top of the screen, click the Categories tab.

This opens the Parts Categories setup screen, where you'll see a table listing:

  • Category Name

  • Pricing Matrix (if applicable)

⚠️ Note: You cannot edit or delete the default system categories. Only categories you've added or that were imported can be changed.

➕ Add a New Category

To create a new parts category:

  1. Click the + New Category button at the top right.

  2. In the popup window:

    • Enter a Category Name.

    • (Optional) Select a Pricing Matrix (currently limited to the default matrix; more options coming soon!).

Click Save to add your new category.

✏️ Edit or 🗑️ Delete a Category

You can only edit or delete categories that you’ve added or that were imported.

To Edit:

  • Click the pen icon next to the category.

  • Update the Category Name or Pricing Matrix (when multiple matrices are available in future).

  • Click Save.

To Delete:

  • Click the rubbish bin icon next to the category.

  • If parts are linked to this category, you’ll be prompted to move them to another category:

    • Select a new category from the list displayed.

    • Click Move & Delete to confirm.

    • Or click Cancel to stop the deletion.
