Updated over a week ago

ℹ️ Before You Start

This article is a handy suggestion for workshops looking to save time. Text Blaze is a third-party tool, so Auxo does not provide support or detailed instructions for it. We recommend it because it works well for this purpose.

💡 Why This Matters

Typing detailed service descriptions or standard notes for every job can be time-consuming. Text Blaze gives you a solution that works right now and it is not limited to Auxo Workshop.

✅ What Is Text Blaze?

Text Blaze is a text expander that lets you:

  • Create shortcodes (for example /TXTSERVICE) to instantly insert long, prewritten text.

  • Build libraries of text for common jobs, notes, or invoice descriptions.

  • Use it anywhere in your browser including Auxo Workshop, Gmail, Google Docs, Word Online, and more.

Why it’s great:

  • Works across multiple platforms, not just Auxo Workshop.

  • Extremely fast. Type a shortcut and press space and your text appears.

  • Fully customisable for your workshop’s needs.

🔧 Workshop-Specific Use Cases

  • Job Notes: Add all steps for a 10,000 km service with one shortcut.

  • Invoice Notes: Insert warranty disclaimers or standard terms instantly.

  • Internal Notes: Add diagnostic checklists or troubleshooting steps without retyping.

🛠️ How to Get Started

  • Open the Add-Ons page in Auxo Workshop

    • In the side menu, click Settings > Add-Ons.

    • Find the Text Blaze card and click Open Text Blaze.

  • Install Text Blaze

    • Clicking Open Text Blaze will take you to our affiliate link, which offers one month free of Text Blaze Pro.

    • For most workshops, the free plan will be enough. Higher-tier plans are available if you want advanced features like dynamic fields or team sharing.

    • Follow the prompts to add the Chrome extension.

    • For more detailed instructions see Text Blaze's Quick Start guide here.

  • Create Your First Snippet

    • Use a unique prefix to avoid accidental triggers. For example:

      • /TXTWOF for Warrant of Fitness text

      • /TXTSERVICE for your standard service text

      • /TXTCV for CV Joint Replacement text

    • Examples:

    • Example snippet:

      • Shortcut: /TXTSERVICE

      • Text:

Perform 10,000 km service: - Change engine oil and filter - Inspect brakes and suspension - Check tyre pressure and tread - Test battery and charging system
  • Use It in Auxo Workshop

    • In any text field (Job Notes, Invoice Notes), type /TXTSERVICE and press Space. Your text appears instantly.

⚠️Important: Create plain text snippets only. Auxo Workshop does not support rich text (ie. text formatted with bold, italics, colours, or tables etc).

💡Tip: Copy Text from Your Old System:

If you used Library Text in SAM, Invoice Text in Synergy, or similar:

  • Copy your old templates.

  • Paste them into Text Blaze snippets.

  • Assign easy-to-remember shortcodes with the /TXT prefix.
