Subtitle: Step-by-step guide for enabling and using MFA with Google or Microsoft Authenticator
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), also known as Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), is available in Auxo Workshop for compliance reasons. If enabled, users will need to use an authenticator app to log in.
📱 Supported Authenticator Apps
Auxo Workshop supports:
Google Authenticator (Download & Guide)
Microsoft Authenticator (Download & Guide)
Both apps are free for iOS and Android.
🔗 See the official guides above for help installing or using these apps.
⚙️ How to Enable MFA for All Users
Go to Settings → System Configuration in the left side menu.
Open the Security tab on the System Configuration screen.
Toggle the switch labelled Enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for all users.
All users with login access to your Auxo Workshop organisation will be required to use MFA when signing in.
⚠️ Important: If any users have access to more than one Auxo Workshop organisation (tenant), MFA will be enabled for their User Profile across all tenants. This means their login procedure will require MFA regardless of which tenant they’re working in.
🚦 First-Time MFA Setup: Adding Your Account to an Authenticator App
When you log in for the first time after MFA is enabled, you’ll see a screen displaying a QR code.
Open your preferred authenticator app (Google or Microsoft).
Use the app to scan the QR code.
The app will add your Auxo Workshop account and start generating one-time codes.
Enter the one-time-code shown in your app and click Continue to complete setup.
⚠️ Important: Every time you log in to Auxo Workshop, you’ll need to enter a new one-time code from your authenticator app.
🔑 Logging In with MFA
After setup, every time you log in to Auxo Workshop, you will be prompted to enter a new one-time code from your authenticator app.
Open your authenticator app and use the current code displayed for your Auxo Workshop account.
Enter the code to complete the login process.
📝 Note: This is required every time you log in when 2FA is enabled.
❌ How to Disable MFA
Return to the same Settings → System Configuration → Security screen and untoggle the 2FA setting.
⚠️ Important: Disabling MFA using this setting will only affect users who have access to a single tenant.
If a user has access to multiple tenants, they’ll need to contact our support team and provide their email address to request MFA removal. Our technical team will verify their identity and disable MFA in the back end.
