Understanding GST Inclusive and GST Exclusive Settings on Jobs in Auxo Workshop

Updated over a month ago

Within the Job Maintenance screen, in the Services area, there is a dropdown option on the top-right that allows you to choose if the "Amounts are" "GST Inclusive" or "GST Exclusive".

What This Setting Does

  • This setting specifies whether the pricing of each line item on the job includes GST or not.

  • When you change the Inclusive/Exclusive setting, the prices for each line item on the job stay the same. For example, if a filter is $15 before you change the setting, it will still be $15 after you change the setting.

  • This setting tells the system whether the pricing shown for each line item includes GST. When you change the setting, the GST amount and Grand Total on the invoice will be recalculated accordingly.

Example

  • GST Exclusive Setting: If the "Amounts are" setting is "GST Exclusive" and a line item is priced at $100, the Total GST will be $15 and the Grand Total will be $115 (based on 15% GST):

  • GST Inclusive Setting: If you change the setting to "GST Inclusive," the price against the line item remains $100. Since this is now considered the GST inclusive price, the invoice Grand Total will also be $100, and the Subtotal Excl GST and Total GST figures are recalculated accordingly:
