✅ What is a Recheck?
A Recheck is required when a vehicle fails its initial inspection. Instead of starting a new inspection, you can re-inspect only the failed items within 21 days of the original check.
If the vehicle passes all failed items during the recheck, you can issue the WOF.
If any previously passed items now fail, they will be included in the recheck result.
🔍 Accessing the Recheck List
Go to Dashboard → Rechecks.
You’ll see all vehicles eligible for recheck within the 21-day timeframe.
Each entry shows Customer Name, Vehicle Details, and Original Inspection Date.
💡Tip: The Rechecks list is actually the Inspection List with a predefined filter applied (Rechecks = Eligible). You can also open the Inspection List and apply this filter manually.
🛠 Reviewing the Failed Inspection
When you select a vehicle from the Rechecks list, you’ll first see the Failed Inspection Summary screen.
This screen shows:
FAIL status and original check sheet number.
Vehicle details (registration, VIN, make/model).
Previous WOF expiry date.
Reason for failure (e.g., “14 Road Restraints – Dangerous”).
At the bottom, you have three options:
Exit
Print / Email (send failed result to customer)
Recheck (start the re-inspection process)
Click Recheck to continue.
✅ Completing the Recheck
After clicking Recheck, you enter the check sheet interface:
The top shows a progress bar and counters for N/A, Fail, Warning, and Pass.
Each section displays its completion status (e.g., Interior 11/12).
Sections turn green when all items are passed.
Click into any sections that are not green to complete the required rechecks
Previously failed items show a red Fail Summary and must be updated.
Enter the current odometer reading in Vehicle Details before finishing.
Updating Items
For each failed item:
Select Pass, Fail, or Not Applicable.
Add comments or measurements if required.
Previously passed items can also fail during recheck.
🔍 Review & Submit
Tap Review to check all updated results.
Confirm details:
Odometer reading
All check statuses
Tap Submit Recheck.
✅ After Submission
If the vehicle passes:
You’ll see the Pass confirmation screen with:
NZTA Authorisation Number
Expiry Date
WOF Label Entry
If the vehicle still fails, it remains in the Rechecks list until the 21-day period expires.
🖨 Printing & Emailing Results
