The System Configuration section lets you control key details for your SmartCheck Pro account:
Organisation details for NZTA compliance
Authorised inspection groups**
Inspection section order
Security settings (Two-Factor Authentication)
**Authorised Inspection Groups will be required when VIC Online Mode is available. This is not required in Offline Mode (when Smartcheck Pro is not integrated with VIC Online).
🔍 Accessing System Configuration
Click Settings → System Configuration in the left-hand menu.
You’ll see options grouped into:
Organisation Details
Authorised Inspection Groups
Inspection Section Order
Two-Factor Authentication
✅ Organisation Details
Keep these fields accurate for NZTA compliance:
Organisation Name
Country
NZTA Authority Number
Address
Phone Number
Email Address
✅ Authorised Inspection Groups
This section will be relevant when VIC Online Mode (full integration with VIC Online) is available.
This section shows which vehicle types your workshop is approved to inspect, such as:
Motorcycle
Light Motor Vehicle
Light Trailer
Heavy Vehicle
These groups are based on your NZTA authorisation and cannot be changed here.
✅ Inspection Section Order
Drag and drop to change the order of inspection sections (Interior, Lights, Chassis Underbody, Exterior, Road Brake Test, Under Bonnet)
Useful if you want to follow a different workflow in your workshop
✅ Two-Factor Authentication
Toggle to enable extra security for all users
When enabled, staff will need to provide a verification code at login using Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator apps on their mobile devices.
🔍 Key Points to Remember
Organisation details and NZTA Authority Number must be correct for compliance
Authorised inspection groups are read-only and based on NZTA approval
Reordering sections only changes the workflow order, not the checks themselves
Enable Two-Factor Authentication for added security
